Optical Wireless Communication System
State-of-the-Art Communication System Without Radio Waves:
LED Backhaul®
System Features
POINT1
Stable Communication
Since it does not use radio waves, stable communication is possible without interference.
POINT2
High Speed and Low Latency
As it is not radio equipment that uses radio waves, obtaining a license is not required for operation. It can be used freely anywhere in the country.
POINT3
No License Required
As it is not radio equipment that uses radio waves, obtaining a license is not required for operation. It can be used freely anywhere in the country.
POINT4
Product Development Designed for Outdoor Use
Waterproofing allows for outdoor use. Communication remains uninterrupted even in the rain.
POINT5
Easy Installation
It can be easily installed without specialized skills. It is ideal for use as a transmission path for surveillance camera footage at event venues where repeated setup and removal are required.
Diverse Applications of LED Backhaul®
Scenario01
Networking Private Areas
By combining Wi-Fi 6 and LED Backhaul, wireless networks can be constructed using entirely unlicensed bands.
Scenario02
Remote Operation of Equipment
Using LED optical wireless communication ensures stable communication even in high-noise environments such as factories and warehouses.
Scenario03
Backup Lines for Events
LED optical communication provides peace of mind even if wireless devices become unusable due to unexpected radio interference or cable damage during an event!
Scenario04
As an Alternative to Wi-Fi Access Points and Wired LAN
Ideal for extending networks between buildings separated by public roads or rivers where wired LAN is difficult to install!
Case Studies Applying Optical Communication
Applying LED Communication Technology to Inter-vehicle Communication Systems
Participated in the National Project: "Truck Platooning"
What is the "Demonstration for Social Implementation of Truck Platooning" Project?
This is an R&D and demonstration project started in 2016 aiming at realizing unmanned platooning for following trucks to solve challenges in the logistics industry, such as serious driver shortage and fuel efficiency improvement. Toyota Tsusho Corporation was commissioned for this project by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) and the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism (MLIT), and SANGIKYO has been in charge of inter-vehicle optical communication devices since 2017. By continuously improving upon the optical wireless communication technology of our product, LED Backhaul®, we provide it as an inter-vehicle communication system.
